Versatility features: FHD IR webcam with facial recognition
Battery life: Up to 16 hours (60 Wh battery)
The LG Gram SuperSlim is the thinnest LG Gram ever, which measures only 2.18 pounds while meeting military-grade durability. This is the lightest laptop on my list. Despite the lightweight design, this device is a powerhouse with a 13th Gen Intel Core i7 series processor, 32 GB blazing-fast LPDDR5 memory, and 2 TB SSD storage. Although I miss a dedicated GPU for this price and setup, this configuration can easily handle every task from scheduling appointments to researching properties to doing client work.

I could have featured the new MacBook Pro M3 or older MacBook Pro models here, but the MacBook Air M2 is still my favorite laptop, and I’ll show you exactly why you won’t need more. If you stick to a Windows laptop, skip this section and check my other recommendations on the best laptops for real estate agents.
MacBooks and the MacOS offer ease of use, require almost no effort to update or protect from viruses other than using the built-in features and deliver a great user experience with lots of applications for busy professionals. In addition, they look elegant, work fast, and provide a solid build quality.
The MacBook Air M2 is powered by Apple’s M2 chip with an 8-core CPU, a 10-core GPU, and a 16-core Neural Engine. This works way faster than earlier Intel-based MacBook editions and offers more than enough room for multitasking, prospecting, video conferencing, and even video editing or photo editing.
The now larger and thinner 15-inch Liquid Retina screen delivers crisp visuals, great brightness, and high contrast, and the screen adjusts its brightness to the lighting conditions. The now improved backlit keyboard comes with a Touch ID for a quick and secure login.
Finally, the MacBook Air comes with a Full HD camera that works well on virtual meetings and it’s further amplified by the six-speaker sound system with Spatial Audio and Dolby Atmos.

With 600 nits of peak brightness and its vivid colors, you can easily use your new laptop outdoors and under various light conditions. The OLED technology gives you extremely high contrast ratios, vivid colors, and a future-proof device.
The only thing that dampened my enthusiasm for this laptop was the HD webcam and the 63-Wh battery.

4. HP Spectre X360 (16’’)
Best versatile laptop for real estate professionals
Key specifications
Processor: 13th Gen Intel Core i7-13700H with 14 cores, 20 threads, 24 MB cache, and up to 5.0 GHz
Memory: 16 GB DDR4 RAM
Display: 16-inch 3K touchscreen, 100% sRGB, 400 nits, 91% screen-to-body ratio
Versatility features: Privacy camera with Windows Hello face authentication, fingerprint reader, 360-degree hinge, touchscreen, Stylus pen
Battery life: Up to 15 hours (6-cell, 83 Wh battery)
The HP Spectre X360 is a versatile, 2-in-1 laptop for realtors and busy professionals. This laptop computer is the perfect combination of power, functionality, and mobility.
The foldable design and Stylus pen make it easy to access property databases on the go, showcase properties to clients, or prepare and sign contracts and legal documents.
Power is handled by a 14-core Intel Core i7-13700H processor with 20 threads and a 24 MB cache. Coupled with 16 GB of memory and 512 GB SSD storage, you can get your hands on a solid and future-proof business laptop.
Another strong point is the touchscreen, which is a 3K panel with moderately great brightness (400 nits), a wide color gamut (100% sRGB), and an impressive 91% screen-to-body ratio. This screen should provide enough screen real estate with its size (16-inch), brightness, and color reproduction. Of course, due to the larger screen, this laptop weighs more on the scale than its smaller competitors.
You can use either the IR webcam (with Windows Hello face authentication) or the fingerprint reader to securely log into your computer, which otherwise would require a password.
Besides the lack of the latest and fastest DDR5 memory, I couldn’t find a grip on this laptop computer. Even battery life is good with 15 hours on a single charge, thanks to the 83 Wh capacity.

The lightweight and aesthetic design gives home to lots of goodies for real estate agents. 7. ASUS Zenbook 14 OLED (14.5’’)
Best innovative laptop for real estate agents
Key specifications
Processor: 13th Gen Intel Core i5-13500H, 12 cores, 16 threads, 18 MB cache, up to 4.7 GHz
Memory: 8 GB RAM (DDR5)
Display: 2.8K OLED touchscreen, 120 Hz refresh rate, 16:10 aspect ratio, 550 nits, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut
Versatility features: ErgoLift hinge, touchscreen, virtual numeric keypad, biometric identification
Battery life: Up to 10 hours (3-cell, 70 Wh battery)
The ASUS Zenbook 14 is an innovative laptop for real estate agents with military standard durability, great ergonomics, a superior audio-visual system, and an excellent OLED screen. Although I couldn’t give a five-star rating, it’s my strong belief that this is one of the best laptops for real estate agents. Here is why…
Power is handled by a 13th gen Intel Core i5-13500H processor that clocks 4.7 GHz at turbo. Combined with integrated Intel Iris graphics and 8 GB LPDDR5 memory, this configuration offers sufficient power for typical realtor work.
One of the major selling points is the top-notch OLED touchscreen that brings vivid colors, true blacks, and sharp contrasts to the table. The ambient light color sensor adjusts this screen to your environment so that you can enjoy your work at outdoor locations or client properties.
The ErgoLift hinge elevates your ASUS laptop for a more comfortable typing experience, while the 180-degree hinge provides flexibility for browsing property photos. The backlit keyboard comes with a numeric keypad (ASUS NumberPad), which makes it easy to do some quick calculations on the go.

The only thing that dampened my enthusiasm for this otherwise perfect device was the average battery life. The 3-cell 70 Wh battery can last about 10 hours, which is not bad but it won’t win a trophy.

With this setup, you can easily take notes on the go, prepare and present property descriptions, photos, and contracts to clients, have them sign agreements and legal documents, and access property databases and your CRM tool wherever you are.

Best laptops for real estate agents: FAQ
1. How much RAM and storage capacity do I need in a real estate business?
It’s always a good idea to think in the long run and future-proof your business laptop with sufficient memory and possibly get the fastest DDR5 RAM. Most business laptops come with 16 GB of memory, which is enough for basic business tasks and multitasking, and works well for most software. A great CPU (and sometimes a dedicated GPU) is equally important for your work. Speaking of storage space, a lot depends on whether you are using a cloud service or not. Most likely, you will, however, working remotely sometimes comes without access to the internet. 256 GB SSD storage is a safe bet for real estate agents who don’t store large video files locally.
2. Should I prioritize portability or performance as a busy professional?
If you often deliver presentations, edit documents, and sign contracts on the go, a highly portable business laptop could be a great fit for you. Weight, dimensions, connectivity, durability, and battery life all contribute to portability, even screen size. Highly portable and convertible business laptops often come with great performance, so you don’t have to sacrifice power for portability. Battery life and weight may vary significantly among laptop models. Feel free to check my full comparison table at the end of this post to check the weight, battery life, connectivity, and many more specifications at a glance.
3. Which operating system is best for real estate professionals?
Nowadays, most software works across multiple platforms (Windows, Mac, ChromeOS) as well as via the web. One good example is Microsoft Office, which you may or may not use as a real estate agent. Of course, there can be real estate-specific applications that don’t work well or don’t work at all on certain platforms. I think, therefore, that your personal preferences as well as the specific software requirements should steer your decision. MacBooks work seamlessly with your Apple devices, are easy to maintain, and offer versatile applications and robust built-in security features. Windows laptops also can work well with your other devices, plus they are versatile and offer high compatibility. Chromebooks offer a fast, easy, and secure working experience, however, they don’t support standalone applications and often come with less impressive performance.
4. How important is battery life for realtors?
I always claim that battery life is the single most important thing for a good laptop. The best laptops for real estate agents are no exception. Aim for at least 8-10 hours of battery life, which may translate into a few hours shorter working time, depending on how much resources you’re using with your applications. In my personal grading system, I rarely give a five-star review below 15 hours of claimed battery life. If you’re using video conferencing tools to communicate with clients or other resource-intensive applications, count with a declining battery life as compared to what the battery tests and the labels claim. MacBooks, Microsoft Surface laptops, and Samsung Galaxy Books offer excellent (15+ hours) battery life.
5. Is it beneficial to invest in a 2-in-1 convertible laptop for real estate work?
2-in-1 convertible laptops can be used as a laptop, a tablet, or anything in between thanks to the foldable design and adjustable angle. These laptops often come with touchscreens and pen support that can come in handy when you take notes on the go, deliver presentations, present property listings, or capture signatures from clients.
